A weekend of classics

Some of you might know that I am a movie buff. I watch lots of movies. Not that I watch all the movies that release but I like to watch good movies and remember nearly everything about them.
But I had not watched any black and white English classic. I had a preconceived notion that they are boring for my taste.
Some time last year I came across a movie called "The apartment", which I absolutely loved. (Also, I got know more about how the stories of Hindi movies are "inspired"!)
And then got my hands on IMDB top 200 movies, selected some classics from there.
- 12 Angry Men
- It happened one night
- Casablanca
- The Maltese Falcon
Just watched all of them over a weekend and I realised for sure, why they are called classics.
Every movie had a specialty of its own. An intense drama, a romantic comedy, a suspense thriller, a strange kind of love story...
But there was something common among all of them... they were very honestly told stories with no fuzz... just the way I like them!
